I spent the last week at Ananda Ashram, a yoga ashram in Monroe, NY. I needed mountain time!
While there, I started a liver cleanse. Spring is the perfect time to do any sort of cleanse. The weather is warm enough that most of our bodies can handle cooler foods — and less of it.
For a do-it-yourself cleanse, you can choose steamed, broiled or par-boiled vegetables and fresh fruit. Try it for 3 weeks. And that’s it. It really is that simple. Taking a break from baked goods, grains, beans, dairy, fish and meat is good for your digestive system. Your tummy (and your colon) will thank you.
