Wild Rice … of Minnesota

At a farmers market in Minneapolis, I picked up some wild rice. But not before getting an education about where and how it’s harvested. The cool part (for me) is that it’s farmed on old Sioux land and the owner is part Sioux.
Last night, I cooked it. This is the most amazing wild rice I’ve ever had. It’s soft and nutty — and cooks in under 30 minutes! And it’s sweet enough not to need butter.
Email me if you want some. I’ll bring it back to NYC!
